'Holding Out For A Hero'는 보니 타일러(Bonnie Tyler)가 1984년 발표한 곡으로 허버트 로스(Herbert Ross) 감독의 영화 <자유의 댄스(Footloose)> O.S.T 수록곡이다. 보니가 1986년 발표한 스튜디오 앨범 <Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire>에도 수록했다. 아일랜드 1위, 캐나다 19위, 미국 34위, 영국 96위 등을 기록했다.
당시 국내 라디오에서 많이 선곡 되던 곡이기도 하며 강렬한 비트와 압도적인 사운드로 80년대 디스코텍 및 클럽에서 단골로 틀던 곡이다.
