Flow My Tears
John Dowland 1563~1626
다울런드(John Dowland, 1563~1626)는 잉글랜드의 황금시대(黃金時代)를 열었던 엘리자베스여왕과 제임스1세시대에 활약했던 류트의 명연주자이며, 류트음악의 유명한 작곡가였습니다.
존 다울런드 (John Dowland)는 1597년에 출간한 다울런드의 최초의 '류트가곡집' (First Booke of Songes or Ayres)이 일반 대중들의 폭발적인 큰 인기를 얻었으며, 또한 1600년에 출간한 류트 가곡집 제2권 (( Second Booke of Songes or Ayres))에 수록된 "흘러라 나의 눈물이여"(Flow my Teares)의 아름다운 선율로 당시에 1000 쇄 이상의 인쇄를 거듭한 잉글랜드 뿐만 아니라 유럽 대륙 전체에서도 널리 유행(流行)한 명곡입니다.
