자신의 어려웠던 시절을 잊지 않고 수 많은 어린이들에게 피아노를 통해 꿈을 키워주고 교육하는 것을 즐기는 랑랑은 피아노를 사랑하고 피아노를 즐기는 사람들이 쉽게 배우고 즐길 수 있는 피아노 음악을 담은 앨범 "피아노 북"을 발매했다.
이 앨범에는 베토벤의 '엘리제를 위하여', 드뷔시의 '달빛', 쇼팽의 '빗방울 전주곡' 등 우리에게 친숙한 클래식 곡과 류이치 사카모토의 '메리크리스마스 미스터 로렌스', 막스 리히터의 'The departure' 등 전통 클래식은 아니지만 멜로디가 아름다운 피아노곡이 수록됐다.
