Adele - Hello [듣기/가사/번역]

아델의 3번째 정규 앨범 [25]는 아카데미 주제가상을 수상한 2012년의 싱글 'Skyfall'에 이은 3년 만의 신곡 발표였고, 앨범으로는 2011년 정규 2집 [21] 이 후 4년 만이다. 

 

앨범을 재생하자마자 아델은 ＂Hello, It's Me.＂라며 운을 띄운다. 오랜 기다림 끝에 우리에게 보내는 인사와도 같다. 톰 웨이츠(Tom Waits)의 명곡 'Martha'와 마찬가지로 과거 자신의 연인에게 전화를 거는 가사 내용을 담고 있는 곡이다. 아델은 자신의 팬들과 과거의 자신에게 건네는 화해의 메시지 등 다양한 해석으로 곡을 썼다고 언급했다. 먹먹한 스네어 비트가 서서히 하이 프리퀀시로 바뀌어나가는 어레인지가 묘한 카타르시스를 제공한다. 작곡 당시 버스에서 코러스를 쓰기까지 무려 6개월이라는 기간이 소요됐다고 한다. 버드 앤 더 비(The Bird and the Bee)의 멤버로써 보다는 스타 작곡가/프로듀서로 더욱 이름을 알려나가고 있는 그렉 커스틴이 프로듀스한 곡으로, 라나 델 레이(Lana Del Rey), 펀(Fun.), 그리고 에미넴(Eminem) 등을 프로듀스한 에밀 헤이니(Emile Haynie) 또한 참여하고 있다.
