They Don't Care About Us는 마이클 잭슨(Michael Jackson, 19580829 ~ 20090625)이 1995년 발표한 9번째 스튜디오 앨범 <HIStory: Past, Present & Future, Book I>에 수록한 곡으로 UK 4위, 아일랜드 7위, US 30위 등을 기록했고 유럽에서 큰 사랑을 받았다. 마이클이 만들고 프로듀서도 맡았다.
뮤직비디오는 스파이크 리(Spike Lee)가 감독을 맡았고 두 가지 버전이 있다. 하나는 브라질의 살바도르, 리오데자네이로에서 촬영했다. 마이클이 브라질의 빈곤층을 대상으로 촬영을 예고했을 때 브라질 당국은 리오의 빈곤이 관광산업에 타격을 주고 향후 올림픽 개최에 있어서도 부정적인 영향을 끼칠 것을 두려워해 허가하지 않았다. 하지만 법정다툼을 벌인 결과 법정은 마이클의 손을 들어주었다. 결국 브라질 당국은 촬영을 돕기 위해 1500명의 경찰관을 파견했고 거기에 경비원으로 활동하는 주민 50명이 빈민가를 봉쇄했다. 브라질 당국과 달리 지역 주민들은 마이클을 열렬히 환호했다. 살바도르의 문화단체 올로둠(Olodum)이 참여했고 마이클은 그들의 로고가 새겨진 티셔츠를 입고 촬영했다. 이후 이 지역은 관광지로 관심을 끌었고 높은 경제성장률을 보여 빌보드는 이 지역의 개선에 마이클의 역할이 컸다고 말했다. 두 번째 버전은 감옥에서 촬영했다. 경찰이 흑인을 공격하는 실제 장면, 천안문 광장 시위의 군사 진압, KKK단, 전쟁 범죄, 대량학살, 처형, 계엄령, 기타 인권 유린 등의 장면이 담겨 있다. 전자에 비해 MTV에 거의 나오지 않았다.
