Ariana Grande - 34+35 [듣기/가사]

이번에 발매된 Ariana Grande의 정규 앨범 'Positions'에는 총 14곡이 수록되어 있는데, 이 중 무려 13곡은 빌보드 차트에 진입하게 되었다. 그 중  '34＋35'는 제목은 매우 특이하지만 매우 도발적이다. 우리나라 정서상 받아들여지지 않을 제목이지만 팝 시장에서는 아티스트의 표현이 우선시되기에 가능한 일이 아닐까 싶다. 이 곡 역시 위에서 소개한 곡 'Motive'처럼 남자를 유혹하는 곡이고 복잡한 곡 구성대신, 본인의 목소리와 가사, 멜로디를 악기로 사용하여 가사에만 집중할 수 있도록 만든 곡이다. 하지만 가사가 '너의 아기들을 가지고 싶어'하던가 'F**k'라는 가사를 반복하면서 노골적으로 남자를 밤새도록 만든다는 내용을, 이렇게 달콤하게 불러야 하는지에 대한 생각도 든다. 미니멀하게 사용된 악기 역시 국내 아이돌이 차용할 정도로 예쁜 분위기를 만들어내는 현악기 구성이 메인이 되기 때문에, 가사를 알지 못하고 듣는다면 단지 달달한 내용을 노래하고 있다고 믿을지도 모른다. 하지만 이 노래를 부르는 그녀는 ＂34＋35＂라는 내용을 마지막에 이야기하면서 본인이 다 컸음을 이야기한다. 이제 이러한 이야기를 거리낌 없이 할 정도로.
