1956년 Verve 레이블로 발매된 음반 . 3옥타브를 넘나드는 능력을 가진 재즈의 여왕 엘라 피츠제랄드(Ella Fitzgerald). 즉흥연주의 대가였던 루이 암스트롱(Louis Armstrong). 이 전설적인 두 음악가가 함께 부른 곡을 모아 만든 앨범이다.
11곡의 노래가 다 훌륭하지만 그중 가장 즐겨듣는 곡은 "Cheek to Cheek"이다. "Cheek to Cheek- 뺨과 뺨을 맞대고"(울 아이들에게 face to face 가 나올 때마다 예문으로 설명해 주는 표현이다.) 뺨을 맞대고 춤추는 것이 무엇보다 행복하다며 마치 천국에 있는 기분이라고 하는 노래이다.
육중한 루이 암스트롱의 노래가 흐르다가 중간에 "Take it Ella swing it !" 하는 부분이 나오고 힘있으면서도 아름다운 엘라가 노래를 받지요. 두 사람의 환상적인 조화가 무척이나 신나는 음악입니다.
